A soccer stadium...
Not just for resourceful squatters, container architecture is taking the world by storm. Recycled freight containers bring efficiency, flexibility and affordability to innovative green buildings, from small vacation cabins to movable cafes, schools and skyscrapers. Bringing that essence to the site is totally a great idea. Shipping container can be used for any purpose, from personal used to commercial used. The concept of this project is to use shipping container as a driving force that will allow the city to have variant activities in one space with more efficiencies. Those efficiencies will benefits the city in a social, economic, and environmental point of view. Combining textures to create a rich sense of depth in the stadium's facade. The textures are being created by the shipping container themselves. Different sizes of container is used to create a push and pull affect while they are still supporting each other structurally. Each shipping container define the set of seats through the entire stadium. When is being duplicated, it starts to form the module system vertically. Therefore, containers can be easily removed or added. To emphasize the shipping container idea, a crane is added to the design. A crane is usually used as instrument to move around shipping containers. In this project, the crane is being used as a roof structure but later on will the tool used to remove the temporary containers. 2,002 shipping containers are being arranged to make 20, 000 seats and 4,500 of them make 60,000 seats. The temporary pieces will be used for several temporary purposes. Which are: offices, apartments, art exhibitions, professional seminar, and commercial activities.
